Occupational Therapy Tutor – Nairobi

About the role

MEDPRIME Training College is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapy Tutor to join its Westlands campus in Nairobi. The successful candidate will deliver theory and practical sessions, support student learning, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the OT curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Occupational Therapy lessons in line with the approved curriculum and timetable.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments and other academic resources.
• Facilitate practical sessions and demonstrations to develop students' hands‑on skills.
• Assess, mark and provide constructive feedback on assignments, practicals and examinations.
• Monitor academic progress and offer targeted support where needed.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessment and academic records.
• Participate in examinations, moderation, invigilation and other academic activities.
• Support students during clinical attachments and ensure practical sessions are safe and professional.
• Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum reviews and academic development initiatives.
• Mentor students on professional conduct, ethics and workplace expectations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised institution.
• Relevant professional registration/licensing as required by Kenyan regulatory bodies.
• At least two years (24 months) of teaching or training experience in a college or TVET setting (preferred).
• Relevant clinical or practical experience in Occupational Therapy.
• Strong knowledge of OT principles, procedures and professional standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to use digital learning platforms and basic computer applications.
• Organisational, assessment and record‑keeping competence.
