Operations Manager – Lodge Operations (Live‑in)

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead daily lodge operations at &Beyond Suyian Lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while supporting sustainability goals. This permanent live‑in position reports to the Lodge Manager and acts as a key liaison across all service departments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise Safari Shop Hosts, Night Porters, housekeeping, maintenance, and Massage teams; deliver daily briefings and feedback.
• Coordinate with department heads and the Lodge Manager to maintain high guest‑facing standards.
• Engage directly with guests, host meals, address concerns, and support teams during peak periods.
• Attend Head‑of‑Department meetings, conduct operational walkthroughs, and review guest feedback.
• Prepare performance reports, analyse trends, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Facilitate training sessions and mentor team members for leadership development.
• Provide relief coverage for the Lodge Manager, F&B Manager, and housekeeping lead, ensuring seamless continuity.
• Align operational activities with long‑term sustainability objectives and deliver detailed handovers.

• Ability to analyse reports, identify trends, and implement cost‑saving measures.
