About the role
The Payroll Specialist will own the complete payroll cycle, ensuring that all employees receive accurate and timely payments while maintaining strict compliance with statutory, tax, and labour regulations. This role also supports HR operations by keeping employee records up‑to‑date, administering benefits, and preparing payroll‑related documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for all staff, including salaries, overtime, commissions, bonuses, allowances, deductions, leave pay, terminal dues and statutory payments.
- Prepare and file all statutory deductions within prescribed deadlines.
- Validate payroll inputs, reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Calculate and process final dues such as leave encashment, gratuity, severance, notice pay and related statutory deductions.
- Maintain confidential payroll records and respond to statutory audits and compliance inquiries.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS, administer benefits and deductions, and prepare employment letters and payslips.
- Update employee information in payroll and HR systems and support overall HR compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- CHRP or CPA qualification is an advantage.
- 4‑6 years of experience managing end‑to‑end payroll in medium to large organisations.
- Proven experience filing statutory deductions and preparing payroll reconciliations.
Required skills
- Proficiency with payroll software and HR information systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, reporting).
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Expertise in payroll reconciliation and reporting.
