People Business Partner

About the role

Moniepoint Kenya is seeking an experienced People Business Partner to work directly with the Kenya CEO. This hands‑on role will shape people strategy, drive performance, and build organizational capability in a fast‑moving fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Kenya CEO to operationalise people plans aligned with business goals.
• Manage day‑to‑day employee lifecycle matters in collaboration with People Operations and Employee Relations.
• Coach line managers on performance management, feedback, and team engagement.
• Analyse people metrics (attrition, engagement, performance) to identify trends and propose solutions.
• Support organisational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives.
• Collaborate with COEs (Talent Management, Total Rewards, Learning, ER) to deliver enterprise programmes locally.
• Act as a culture champion, promoting inclusion and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
• 10+ years of HR experience, including 5+ years in an HRBP or advisory role.
• Proven experience as a People Business Partner in a fast‑moving organisation.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and regulations.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data trends.
• Registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) with CHRP‑K certification.
• Preferred: experience in fintech, banking or digital environments; exposure to HR transformation or scaling initiatives.
