Pharmaceutical Technologist – Entry Level

About the role

The Pharmaceutical Technologist will join Penda Health’s pharmacy team in Nairobi, delivering high‑quality medication services to primary‑care patients. This entry‑level position supports safe dispensing, stock management and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process prescriptions from healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to Penda Health policies.
• Dispense medications to patients while maintaining accurate records.
• Monitor drug storage conditions, recording fridge and room temperatures.
• Track expiry dates, manage supplies and conduct monthly stock takes.
• Maintain documentation for Dangerous Drugs Act‑regulated medicines.
• Collaborate with clinical officers to promote safe, economical, and rational drug use.
• Provide exceptional patient service, upholding dignity and experience standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya and a valid practicing license.
• Minimum one year of experience, preferably in a busy hospital setting.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to patient care and customer service.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
