PhD Peer Reviewer – Acoustics (Remote, Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers with a PhD in acoustics or a related field to join our editorial team as remote, part‑time peer reviewers. This long‑term position allows you to contribute to the scientific community by ensuring the quality and integrity of submitted manuscripts.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and originality of manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyze results and conclusions for clarity and scientific soundness.
• Provide constructive, written feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in acoustics or a closely related discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
