About the role

We are looking for a Photographer to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia, operating from Westlands, Kenya. The role involves creating high‑quality visual content for operational, training, public‑affairs and historical documentation needs.

Key responsibilities

• Capture photographs of personnel, ceremonies, training exercises, equipment, facilities and special events in accordance with military standards.
• Coordinate with military personnel, leadership and project teams to understand visual requirements.
• Plan and execute assignments, assessing lighting, composition and operational constraints.
• Review, edit and enhance images using professional photo‑editing software while preserving image integrity.
• Manage digital assets, including file organization, metadata, storage and archival.
• Maintain, inspect and troubleshoot photography equipment, reporting any issues.

Required profile

• Ability to follow security protocols, privacy requirements and installation policies.
• Professional attitude when working in military environments.
• Attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping of assignments and deliverables.

Required skills

• Operation of digital cameras and interchangeable lenses.
• Use of lighting systems and related accessories.
• Proficiency with photo‑editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
