About the role

Petanns Technical College is seeking an experienced Principal to provide strategic, academic, and administrative leadership. The role focuses on driving institutional growth, academic excellence, and operational efficiency within Kenya's TVET sector.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversee all academic and administrative functions.
• Implement the college’s strategic objectives and growth plans.
• Coordinate academic programs and administrative activities to ensure effective performance.
• Lead, supervise, and evaluate staff, fostering a culture of accountability.
• Drive student recruitment, enrollment, retention, and growth initiatives.
• Oversee fee policies and revenue management.
• Lead examination planning, coordination, administration, and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with TVET regulations and requirements of regulatory and examining bodies.
• Manage relationships with bodies such as NITA, ICM, CDACC, KNEC, and others.
• Monitor academic quality, student welfare, and institutional standards.
• Represent the college with regulators, partners, parents, students, and other stakeholders.
• Identify partnership opportunities, program development, and sustainable growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Technical Education, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of senior administration or management experience in a TVET institution, technical college, university, or similar learning institution.
• Proven experience in institutional leadership, academic administration, and staff management.
• Strong knowledge of Kenya’s TVET regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
