Production Supervisor – Food Processing

About the role

The Production Supervisor will lead the production team at the Kisii Factory, ensuring safe, efficient and on‑time delivery of food products. The role focuses on maintaining product quality, food safety, hygiene and compliance with regulatory standards while meeting output targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations, monitor machines and process indicators to ensure SOP compliance.
• Plan work schedules, team assignments and processing sequences to meet production targets.
• Inspect raw materials, in‑process items and finished goods for defects and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate raw‑material supply, manage stock takes and reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Monitor packaging, conduct weight checks and verify labeling details such as manufacture date and batch number.
• Liaise with maintenance to address breakdowns promptly and minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Diploma in Food Science, Production Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience in a food‑processing environment.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, CCPs, OPRPs and PRPs, as well as hygiene and food‑safety documentation.
