About the role
The Program Officer, Partnerships serves as the operational engine of CARE USA’s global partnership function within the Program Strategy & Innovation division. Reporting to the AVP and Director of Partnerships, the role manages the partnership pipeline, coordinates due‑diligence and agreement processes, and ensures timely progress across all partnership tracks.
Key responsibilities
- Own and maintain CARE’s global partnership tracker, keeping all active tracks up‑to‑date on status, actions, and ownership.
- Support the AVP and Director by managing workflow processes and tracking systems such as the Bid Pipeline Management tracker and the IPO/PSI tracker.
- Provide weekly pipeline status summaries, flagging risks, blockers, and time‑sensitive items for escalation.
- Coordinate follow‑up actions, meeting logistics, and documentation across all active partnership and workflow tracks.
- Drive MOU, partnership framework, and agreement tracking, monitoring legal and signature items and escalating issues promptly.
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to support due‑diligence workflows and manage review timelines.
- Develop partnership‑facing materials (pitch decks, one‑pagers, briefing notes) and ensure delivery ahead of partner meetings.
- Establish and manage a Partnership Learning Hub to share best practices, tools, and templates across PSI.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Business, Public Policy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in partnership coordination, program management, or external relations in the international development or social impact sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex multi‑stakeholder workflows and timelines across concurrent workstreams.
- Experience coordinating legal or compliance review processes for MOUs, partnership frameworks, or grant agreements.
Required skills
- Proficiency with partnership or project tracking systems and productivity tools such as Salesforce, Asana, and SharePoint.
- Excellent written communication skills for producing high‑quality external materials, including briefings, one‑pagers, and proposals.
