Project Manager

About the role

SALIX Data, a global provider of business process outsourcing, forensic collection, e-discovery processing, cybersecurity and workflow automation services founded in 1999, is hiring a Project Manager in Nairobi. The role manages technical and operational projects independently from initiation to completion, coordinating cross-functional teams and keeping clients, developers, operations and leadership aligned.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal and external projects from kickoff through completion, developing detailed plans, task lists, timelines and resource allocations.
• Act as the main point of contact for projects, keeping stakeholders informed and presenting status to leadership.
• Monitor milestones and deliverables, escalate issues early and track resolution steps.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, approvals and communications.
• Submit weekly capacity reports, update the New Business Report after the SOW and complete Service Failure Reports when applicable.
• Work with Senior PMs on escalations, strategic alignment and resource requests, and take part in process improvements and post-project reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in project management, project coordination or a similar role.
• Experience with technical teams and technology-driven projects.
• Nice to have: project management certification (CAPM, Scrum Master, PMP), BPO or data operations experience, and familiarity with software development lifecycles.

Required skills

• Understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as ClickUp or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
