Recruiter Manager – Nairobi

About the role

The Nairobi Recruiter Manager will lead local recruiting and outreach activities for a nonprofit program, building partnerships with community organisations and attracting qualified candidates to strengthen community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute recruitment campaigns across Nairobi.
• Develop and maintain relationships with churches, NGOs, community groups and local leaders.
• Organise outreach events, information sessions and workshops.
• Screen applicants, coordinate interviews and manage candidate communications.
• Maintain confidential applicant records and produce regular reports for the regional office.
• Train and supervise local outreach volunteers.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of outreach or recruitment experience, preferably in Nairobi or similar urban settings.
• Strong knowledge of Nairobi neighbourhoods and community networks.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Experience organising events, workshops or information sessions and handling logistics.
• Ability to conduct interviews, screen candidates and keep confidential records.
• Proficiency with basic remote collaboration tools (email, messaging apps, cloud‑based documents) and timely reporting.
• Self‑starter with good time‑management, problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
