Relationship Manager – Institutional Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Institutional Banking will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with institutional clients of Caritas Microfinance Bank. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality service, driving new business acquisition, and ensuring the performance of the loan portfolio meets the bank’s targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain relationships with internal teams such as Marketing and Head Office departments.
• Prospect, acquire and retain institutional customers within assigned market segments.
• Monitor credit facilities and deposits, keeping loan portfolio performance (PAR) below target levels.
• Ensure timely processing of loan renewals, extensions and cancellations.
• Maintain regular contact programs with customers and prospects, providing updates on application progress.
• Identify and mitigate fraud risks and minimise exposure.
• Conduct needs analysis, cross‑sell bank products and collect market intelligence.
• Oversee loan book quality, ensuring prompt collection of arrears and accurate database maintenance.
• Train clients on bank products and support the team to achieve organisational objectives.
• Provide regular performance assessments and feedback to staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field.
• Thorough knowledge of MSME banking products and institutional banking services.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and drive sales targets.
• Strong analytical skills for credit monitoring and risk assessment.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
