Remote Part-Time Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a remote, part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to join a global technology leader. The analyst will monitor security events, investigate incidents and help safeguard critical systems and data across multiple time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Investigate security incidents, assess scope, impact and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to reduce risk.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation.
• Prepare detailed incident reports with findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys).
• Understanding of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001 or CIS Controls.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage time effectively.
