About the role
The Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK) seeks a motivated Resource Mobilization Officer to support its fundraising and donor engagement activities. This part‑time, on‑site position works 2‑3 days per week from the Westlands office in Nairobi.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and map new funding opportunities, corporate partnerships, and grant calls aligned with AMWIK’s strategic pillars.
- Assist in drafting grant narratives, concept notes, and expressions of interest.
- Maintain the donor database and track reporting timelines.
- Contribute ideas during internal brainstorming sessions on innovative resource‑mobilization strategies.
Required profile
- Background in communications, project management, development studies or related fields.
- Strong research, analytical and writing abilities.
- Experience or knowledge of finance and development sectors is an advantage.
- Collaborative spirit and ability to meet tight deadlines.
