Retail Sales Manager

About the role

Silentnight Bedding Limited is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Manager in Westlands, Nairobi. The role leads retail sales across the company's shops, sets and tracks sales targets, manages the retail and customer service teams, and works with Marketing, Production, Supply Chain and Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement retail sales strategies to meet monthly and quarterly targets, and monitor performance by shop, product line and region
• Lead and coach the sales teams, set performance goals and run training programmes with HR
• Plan promotions and price reviews with the Marketing Manager, and benchmark competitors
• Oversee stock levels, reordering and product assortment, and ensure adherence to planograms and visual merchandising standards
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales and customer service reports, maintain customer databases and recommend process improvements
• Liaise with Production and Supply Chain on product supply, and with Finance on collection reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and optimise operational efficiency

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or a related field
• 7 years of sales management experience, preferably in furniture and retail
• Proven track record of leading and developing sales teams
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills; results-oriented

Required skills

• Proficiency in sales software, CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to interpret sales data and turn it into actionable insights
