Safari Guide – Guest Experience Specialist

About the role

Angama is seeking a passionate Safari Guide to host and lead guests on memorable game drives in and around Nairobi. The role combines wildlife interpretation, safety management, and personalized guest care to deliver the signature Angama experience.

Key responsibilities

• Host and guide guests on game drives, providing safe, informative, personalized safari experiences.
• Interpret wildlife behavior and share ecosystem insights in an engaging manner.
• Ensure guest comfort and safety throughout drives and scenic stops.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle care, presentation, and readiness.
• Support preparation of safari picnics, sundowners, and other field‑hosted moments.
• Collaborate with lodge and back‑of‑house teams for smooth handovers and continuity of care.
• Manage guest preferences and feedback with attentiveness and professionalism.
• Uphold guiding protocols, safety standards, and conservation practices.
• Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and ongoing development within the guiding team.

• Strong knowledge of wildlife, landscapes, and seasonal changes.
• Natural storyteller with genuine love for the bush and its people.
• Calm, safety‑focused, and dependable, especially in unexpected situations.

• Minimum two years experience in a guest‑facing lodge role.

Required skills

• KPSGA Bronze level (Silver preferred or willingness to progress).
• Valid First Aid certificate.
• Valid driving licence with Defensive Driving certification.
