Sales Executive

About the role

Mex Logistics Africa Ltd is looking for an ambitious, results‑driven Sales Executive to expand its customer base and grow existing accounts across courier, air/sea freight, clearing and forwarding, and import/export logistics. The role is field‑based, requiring frequent client visits and cold‑calling to meet monthly sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers across SMEs, corporates, importers/exporters, e‑commerce, NGOs and manufacturers.
• Promote the full service portfolio: domestic and international courier, air and sea freight, clearing and forwarding, customs clearance, cargo consolidation and parcel delivery.
• Maintain and develop customer relationships, follow up on shipping needs, resolve operational issues and drive repeat business.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets, prepare forecasts, performance reports and convert quotations into confirmed business.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover new opportunities.
• Prepare and negotiate quotations within approved guidelines and hand over confirmed orders to operations.
• Support finance with payment follow‑up to ensure profitable sales activity.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Logistics or a related field.
• At least 2 years of sales experience, preferably in courier, freight or logistics.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and existing industry contacts are a plus.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities, self‑disciplined and customer‑focused.
• Willingness to travel frequently for field visits.

• Experience with CRM tools
