Senior Associate, Foundry

About the role

Acumen is looking for a Senior Associate to lead the design, delivery, and operations of the Foundry – Acumen Academy’s alumni community in East Africa – and to manage the Green RISE Africa Connect Community of Practice. Based in Nairobi, you will report to the Manager, Foundry and Communities of Practice, Green RISE Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement program activities for the Foundry alumni network.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including content delivery, technical support, and access to capital for community members.
• Lead the Green RISE Africa Connect Community of Practice, fostering cross‑regional collaboration among early‑stage social enterprises in the green economy.
• Coordinate events, workshops, and learning opportunities for Fellows and Accelerator alumni.
• Track community growth and impact, ensuring the network expands sustainably over the next five years.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, community development, or related fields.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Demonstrated experience working with alumni or stakeholder networks in East Africa.
• Passion for social impact, especially in the African green economy.
