Senior Behavioral Science Consultant

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Senior Behavioral Science Consultant to co‑lead behavior‑focused projects with country offices and staff. The role is remote, with a preference for candidates in Europe, the Middle East or Africa to align with time‑zone needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 1‑2 behavioral science projects, coordinating design, implementation and evaluation of behaviorally informed interventions.
• Conduct behavioral diagnosis through desk research, stakeholder workshops and primary/secondary formative research, and analyse findings.
• Develop trial protocols, choose appropriate evaluation methods (e.g., RCT, matched‑control, A/B test), perform power analyses, randomisation and define outcome measures.
• Deliver behavioral science trainings and workshops, both online and in‑person, covering theory and applied processes.
• Produce written results for technical and non‑technical audiences and contribute to the technical design of funding proposals.

Required profile

• Flexible, self‑motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and teams remotely.
• Strong project‑driving and collaboration skills within a virtual environment.
• Excellent management, organisational and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English with strong communication and writing skills.
• Prior experience working in behavioral science research and intervention design.
