Senior Manager, Investigations (Remote)

About the role

GiveDirectly is seeking an experienced investigator to establish and lead a Central Intake and Investigations Hub, an independent function that will triage, assess and resolve staff concerns across all programmes and countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design and operationalise the Central Intake and Investigations Hub, building relationships with People, Internal Audit, Safeguarding, HR managers and country directors.
• Lead the most complex investigations, establishing facts, producing findings reports and making recommendations.
• Define investigation standards, provide oversight and quality‑assure investigations conducted by other teams.
• Maintain the system of record for staff matters, run regular reporting and calibration with senior leadership.
• Shape the case‑management system, leveraging technology, automation and AI to scale processes.
• Recruit, manage and develop the hub team, setting priorities and building capability.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience leading workplace misconduct investigations, including senior staff and sexual misconduct cases.
• Proven ability to set investigation standards and quality‑assure others’ work.
• Demonstrated impartiality, strong relationship‑building and influence without direct authority.
• Excellent emotional intelligence, problem‑solving, project management and inclusivity skills aligned with GiveDirectly’s values.
• Comfort working with sensitive abuse and misconduct material while maintaining personal resilience.
