Senior Strategic Communications & Content Consultant

About the role

The Senior Strategic Communications & Content Consultant will lead the creation and dissemination of strategic narratives, thought‑leadership pieces, and knowledge‑translation products for the CGIAR Gender Accelerator. Working closely with the Engagement, Policy and Advocacy Expert, the Accelerator Management Team and the Digital Communication consultant, the role supports the visibility and impact of gender‑focused research and innovations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic content leadership aligned with the Science Communication Strategy 2026‑2030.
• Advise on framing, positioning and packaging of evidence and innovations for priority audiences.
• Collaborate with scientists, gender researchers and Area of Work Leads to identify high‑impact outputs.
• Develop narratives, messaging frameworks and content packages for flagship reports, campaigns and conferences.
• Translate complex research into audience‑focused explainers, policy briefs, op‑eds and other knowledge products.
• Support the Accelerator Director with speeches, talking points and briefing materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic communications and content development for research‑oriented programmes.
• Familiarity with gender equality, youth inclusion and inclusive agrifood systems.
• Ability to work closely with scientists, researchers and policy experts.
• Strong editorial oversight and knowledge‑translation skills.
