Senior Travel & Visa Coordinator

About the role

This senior position coordinates travel and visa arrangements for Church employees, missionaries, General Authorities and other representatives worldwide. The role ensures cost‑effective itineraries, compliance with visa requirements, and a smooth travel experience while supporting the mission of the Church.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and book travel itineraries using airlines, rail, rental cars and hotels, selecting the most cost‑efficient options.
• Secure necessary visas and verify documentation accuracy.
• Prepare detailed itineraries and travel instructions for travelers.
• Manage invoicing, payment processing and expense reconciliation in line with accounting guidelines.
• Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate special events such as mission president seminars and area council meetings.
• Correspond with consulates and arrange personal visits when required.
• Assist in training and coaching junior travel coordinators and handle special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of travel industry experience, preferably within Church travel services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Excellent customer service orientation and ability to resolve complex travel issues.
• Capacity to manage a high workload, lead process improvements and support after‑hours calls.
