Software Engineer – Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable human‑data platforms. This fully remote position focuses on creating robust pipelines and backend services that process large volumes of human‑generated data for analytics and business decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines that handle human‑generated datasets at scale.
• Build and maintain backend services for both real‑time and batch data processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, performance, and security.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail when debugging complex systems.
• Experience working in distributed, cloud‑based environments.
• Ability to work independently and within a distributed team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with distributed technologies such as Kafka and Spark.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
