About the role
CFK Africa is seeking a Sports Manager to lead its Youth Development Network (YDN) sport‑for‑development portfolio in Nairobi’s Westlands area. Reporting to the YDN Director, you will oversee community football clubs, design a digital platform linking grassroots athletes with institutions, and use sport to improve health, education and economic outcomes for slum youth.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic, technical and operational leadership for the YDN sport portfolio, including Kibera FCs.
- Design, develop and launch the Slum Sports Digital Platform, collaborating with youth for branding.
- Build and manage partnerships with sporting, academic and private sector organisations.
- Mobilise resources, oversee budgeting, financial stewardship and reporting.
- Ensure safeguarding, monitoring and evaluation of program impact.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering a results‑driven culture.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary education or equivalent experience in sport development, community work or related fields.
- Minimum of 1 month experience in sport‑for‑development or youth programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage community‑based sports initiatives.
- Strong understanding of health‑behaviour messaging and youth engagement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
