Global Roster of Early Childhood Development Specialists

About the role

UNICEF is creating a global roster of Early Childhood Development (ECD) specialists to provide timely technical support to country offices and government partners. The role is remote‑based and supports UNICEF’s Strategic Plan (2026‑2029) to ensure 400 million children benefit from early stimulation, nurturing care and parenting support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and technical assistance on ECD policies, programmes and implementation.
• Support UNICEF’s Centers of Excellence by delivering specialized knowledge on early stimulation, childcare services and inclusive care for children with disabilities.
• Rapidly mobilise as a pre‑qualified consultant to address emerging needs in country offices.
• Contribute to the development of ECD strategies aligned with Impact Result 1 of UNICEF’s Strategic Plan.

Required profile

• Committed and creative professional passionate about children’s rights and development.
• Demonstrated expertise in early childhood development, early stimulation, nurturing care or related fields.
• Experience working with international organisations, governments or NGOs on ECD initiatives.
