Storekeeper – IRS Commodity Management (Busia & Siaya)

About the role

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Storekeeper will manage indoor residual spraying (IRS) commodities across multiple sites in Busia and Siaya counties. The role involves receiving, verifying, storing, labeling and tracking IRS items to ensure uninterrupted malaria vector control operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive IRS commodities from the central warehouse, verify quantities and complete stock management documentation.
• Monitor stock levels, place replenishment orders using the digitised requisition system, and maintain up‑to‑date inventory records.
• Record all receipts, withdrawals and movements of IRS commodities in the site stores.
• Enforce safety procedures for handling insecticides and contaminated materials.
• Conduct regular stock‑takes and audits, report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
• Secure the store against theft, damage and unauthorized access.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Business Management, IT, Computer Science, Purchasing & Supply Chain or Warehouse Management.
• 3–6 months of relevant experience in inventory or warehouse operations.
• Ability to work on‑site in the designated counties and follow strict safety and accountability protocols.
