Supply Chain Officer

About the role

The Supply Chain Officer will manage supplier relationships, procurement, import/export and logistics to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency for the company's IT & Telecom operations. This full‑time position is based in Nairobi and requires a strong focus on quality, reliability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage suppliers to ensure quality, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate procurement, import and export activities to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance.
• Oversee logistics and transportation to ensure smooth movement of goods.
• Maintain supplier agreements, pricing and product information.
• Track inventory, monitor procurement savings and analyse data to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) experience in supply chain, procurement or logistics, preferably in the IT/Telecom sector.
• Proven track record in supplier management and contract negotiation.
• Experience with import/export regulations and logistics operations.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, regulations and best practices.
