Technical Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Operator to join our spice processing line in Nairobi. You will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets our high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and control spice processing machinery, setting up, adjusting, and calibrating equipment according to product specifications.
• Monitor production parameters, perform real‑time adjustments, and conduct regular quality checks on spices.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimise downtime.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks and keep accurate records of machine performance and output.
• Train new and existing operators on best practices to reduce waste and downtime.
• Collaborate with supervisors, quality control staff, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless production flow.
• Assist in creating, updating, and following SOPs to maintain compliance with industry regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in mechanical, production/process or manufacturing engineering.
• 2‑3 years of experience as a Technical Operator, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
