Technical Planner

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Technical Planner to coordinate engineering, maintenance and technical activities for our inflight and corporate catering services across Nairobi and Mombasa. The role ensures preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment inspections and engineering projects are planned, scheduled and completed on time, supporting reliable service to airline partners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate engineering, maintenance and technical tasks across multiple sites, developing preventive maintenance schedules and work plans.
• Monitor technician workloads, resource utilisation and track work orders from initiation to closure.
• Coordinate proactive equipment inspections, document findings and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Work with Procurement, Stores and Operations to secure spares, tools and materials.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and engineering documentation in CMMS/ERP systems.
• Support the Technical Manager in planning shutdowns, major repairs and installations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in engineering maintenance planning, technical coordination or similar role.
• Experience working with technical teams, work orders and engineering projects, preferably in an asset‑intensive environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and ERP platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, boilers and other industrial equipment.
