Technical Sales Executive – Maternity, Newborn, NICU & PICU

About the role

The client seeks an experienced Technical Sales Executive to drive revenue and clinical adoption of specialised maternal, neonatal and paediatric care solutions across maternity hospitals and NICU/PICU units in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve revenue, margin and unit targets for a portfolio that includes infant incubators, radiant warmers, phototherapy units, neonatal ventilators and patient monitors.
• Develop account strategies for major maternity hospitals, private specialised centres and county referral hospitals with NICU/PICU capacity.
• Engage clinicians, biomedical teams and procurement to understand clinical protocols and propose fit‑for‑purpose equipment solutions.
• Organise and deliver product demonstrations, technical evaluations and training for nursing and medical staff.
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals, lead tender processes and ensure compliance for public‑sector and donor‑funded projects.
• Build long‑term relationships with key clinical influencers and hospital leadership.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering, Neonatal/Pediatric Nursing, Clinical Technology, Midwifery or a related field.
• 4–6 years of technical sales experience in medical equipment, preferably with neonatal, maternity or paediatric critical‑care products.
• Proven success selling capital equipment into maternity and neonatal units in Kenya or East Africa.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively for field work.

Required skills

• Technical sales and consultative selling of medical equipment.
• Demonstration and evaluation of neonatal and maternity devices.
• Tender and project management for public‑sector and donor‑funded initiatives.
• Understanding of neonatal thermoregulation, phototherapy and basic respiratory support principles.
