Technical Support Operator

About the role

The Technical Support Operator will support Mogo Kenya Limited’s vehicle‑based loan portfolio by inspecting, valuing, and installing tracking equipment on repossessed motorcycles and cars. The role also involves assisting clients throughout the loan application process and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of repossessed motorcycles, document damages, and compile detailed reports.
• Evaluate car values using industry‑standard valuation techniques, considering make, model, year, condition, mileage and market trends.
• Install GPS trackers on cars and motorcycles, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to guidelines.
• Install SIM cards in GPS devices and verify connectivity.
• Perform minor motorcycle repairs and coordinate with repair teams for timely resolution.
• Provide technical guidance to clients during the loan application process and answer related inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, valuations, installations and repairs; generate comprehensive reports for internal use.
• Uphold high quality and accuracy standards, continuously monitoring processes for improvement.
• Foster positive customer relationships by delivering exceptional technical support.
• Follow company policies, industry regulations and safety protocols in all tasks, including identification of fraudulent or tampered vehicles.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in vehicle technical support or a similar role.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• Strong knowledge of the Kenyan car market and vehicle technical structures.
• High sense of responsibility, precision and attention to detail.
