Tutorial Fellow - Paediatric Nursing

About the role

The Tutorial Fellow in Paediatric Nursing will join Zetech University’s School of Nursing, reporting to the Head of Department. The role involves teaching, curriculum development, clinical supervision and research activities aimed at preparing future paediatric nurses.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lectures, practical sessions and clinical placements for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Design, develop and update course materials, ensuring alignment with the Nursing Council of Kenya standards.
• Oversee student clinical practice in hospital settings, providing guidance and assessment.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues on curriculum revisions and research initiatives.
• Conduct research, write grant proposals and present findings at national or international conferences.
• Provide mentorship, career advice and academic support to students and junior staff.
• Participate in consultancies and other scholarly activities as required.

Required profile

• Registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent doctoral degree and progressing.
• Master of Science in Nursing (Paediatrics) from an accredited university.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Paediatrics) or equivalent qualification.
• At least three (3) years of post‑qualification nursing experience.
• Valid practising licence from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Demonstrated potential for university teaching and research.
