Vehicle Operator – Air Terminal

About the role

The Vehicle Operator will support air terminal and flight line operations by safely transporting passengers, cargo, baggage, mail and equipment using government vehicles and specialised ground support equipment. The role requires strict adherence to airfield driving procedures and a high level of situational awareness around aircraft and operational hazards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate government vehicles and specialised ground support equipment in support of air terminal activities.
• Transport passengers, cargo, baggage, mail and equipment between terminals, aircraft parking areas and staging locations.
• Conduct pre‑operational, operational and post‑operational vehicle inspections.
• Follow airfield driving procedures, traffic regulations and flight‑line safety requirements.
• Assist with loading, unloading and movement of cargo and baggage as directed.
• Maintain vehicles in a clean, safe and serviceable condition and report any deficiencies.
• Keep accurate inspection records, operating logs and transportation documentation.
• Provide courteous customer service to passengers, aircrews and mission partners.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1‑3 years experience operating vehicles in transportation, logistics, air terminal or aviation support environments.
• Knowledge of vehicle operation, traffic laws and airfield driving procedures.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles around aircraft and in high‑traffic environments.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.
• Proficient in reading, speaking and comprehending English.
