Warehouse Stock Clerk

About the role

The Warehouse Stock Clerk supports daily warehouse operations at Victoria Home Store in Nairobi. You will ensure accurate stock management, oversee loading and unloading of goods, and maintain a clean, safe environment. The role is essential for keeping inventory accurate and supporting efficient customer self‑collection.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate loading and off‑loading of goods, verify documentation, and record any discrepancies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records in the Warehouse Management System and organise stock for optimal space utilisation.
• Conduct receiving inspections, confirm quantities and quality against purchase orders, and report damaged or missing items.
• Record all stock movements, transfers, issues and returns, ensuring proper documentation.
• Perform scheduled cycle counts and spot checks, reconcile physical stock with system data, and investigate variances.
• Prepare and verify customer orders for self‑collection, ensuring correct items are released.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe and compliant with health‑and‑safety standards, reporting maintenance needs.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with up to two years of warehouse or inventory experience.
• Ability to follow procedures, work accurately and handle physical loading tasks.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory tracking.
