Accelerated Disease Control Consultant – Immunization (Remote)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking senior experts to join its Accelerated Disease Control (ADC) roster. The consultant will support the Immunization Section of the Global Programme Division, providing technical guidance on vaccine‑preventable and epidemic‑prone diseases from a remote location.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality technical advice for outbreak response and vaccination strategies.
• Support country teams in designing and implementing immunization programmes.
• Contribute to preparedness planning for emerging threats such as Ebola and mpox.
• Update and maintain the ADC expert pool to reflect current global and regional needs.
• Provide data‑driven recommendations to close immunity gaps and reduce disease resurgence.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least eight years of experience in public health, epidemiology, or immunization.
• Proven track record in disease‑control projects, preferably within UN, NGO or government settings.
• Ability to work independently and remotely while collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams.
