Account Assistant

About the role

The Account Assistant will support the finance team of YAMIYAGO FRUITS by handling day‑to‑day bookkeeping, invoicing and cash‑flow activities. This entry‑level position offers exposure to both accounts payable and receivable processes within a fast‑moving retail and FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record invoices, receipts, payments and expenses in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP or Excel.
• Process supplier invoices and issue customer invoices, following up on overdue payments.
• Reconcile bank statements with internal records to identify discrepancies.
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial files.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing schedules and provide reports for accountants.
• Raise purchase orders, manage petty cash and respond to basic client/vendor queries.
• Process daily sales orders, generate invoices and verify accuracy in ZOHO and ERP systems.
• Monitor customer credit limits and flag overdue accounts for collection.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with approximately one year of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Familiarity with basic bookkeeping, invoicing and reconciliation tasks.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced retail environment.
