Account Executive

About the role

The Account Executive will act as the primary liaison between clients and Tembo Wild’s Tour Consultants, ensuring every luxury travel request is captured and delivered flawlessly. Reporting to the Director, this role is based in Nairobi and focuses on high‑value tourism bookings across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle, converting high‑value inquiries into confirmed bookings and meeting revenue targets.
• Manage lead hand‑over from Business Development Executives, providing strategic follow‑up to move prospects through the pipeline.
• Participate in weekly conversion meetings to analyse funnel performance and address bottlenecks.
• Develop initial “skeleton” itineraries based on client briefs before handing them to Tour Consultants.
• Review and validate trip costings to ensure accuracy, margin integrity and alignment with client proposals.
• Maintain timely, high‑touch communication with all active inquiries to prevent lead stagnation.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 4 years of experience in sales or account management, preferably within tourism or luxury travel.
• Highly organized communicator able to juggle multiple priorities with precision.
• Passionate about delivering personalized, high‑touch service.
