Account Manager – Client Lifecycle (Busia)

About the role

The Account Manager will own the full client lifecycle, from acquisition through loan management and recovery, ensuring compliance with Tugende’s policies and core values.

Key responsibilities

• Customer acquisition and cross‑selling, managing up to 200 active leases.
• Conducting loan vetting, documenting information in the CRM and obtaining system approval.
• Delivering client training on asset acquisition, payment terms, insurance and reporting procedures.
• Overseeing loan disbursement, educating clients on payment channels and coordinating guarantor involvement.
• Monitoring loan performance, following up overdue payments and initiating recovery actions when needed.
• Handling incident management, including asset impoundment, theft, mechanical breakdowns and insurance documentation.
• Maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with loan agreements and resolving customer complaints promptly.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in a business‑related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in micro‑finance or a similar lending environment.
• Motorbike riding competence is mandatory.
• High integrity, transparency and dependability.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage customers, colleagues and the community.
