Accountant – Financial Reporting & Treasury

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Accountant to join our finance team in Westlands, Nairobi. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial statements, managing cash flow, and ensuring full compliance with Kenyan tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Process supplier invoices, monitor receivables and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and manage petty cash.
• File VAT, PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy and other statutory returns.
• Maintain records in ERP/accounting software and generate financial reports.
• Implement and monitor internal control procedures and support internal/external audits.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, calculate depreciation and support inventory reconciliations.
• Provide timely financial information to management and support departmental budgeting.

Required profile

• Mid‑level accountant with at least 36 months of relevant experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax legislation and statutory reporting.
• Proven ability to work with ERP/accounting systems and produce accurate reports.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
