Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will support BURN's Finance function by ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions, reconciliations, reporting, invoicing, payments, tax compliance and audit requirements. The role also involves maintaining proper documentation, supporting internal controls, and assisting with cash planning and statutory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Head of Finance to prepare and submit financial statements on schedule.
• Enter financial transactions into the accounting system in real time.
• Receive vendor invoices, record bills, and assist in vendor payment processing.
• Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare tax‑compliant invoices, record customer payments, and issue customer statements.
• Maintain export documentation and support audit processes.
• Collect supporting documentation for grant reports when required.
• Collaborate with the tax department to file tax returns and resolve statutory issues.
• Participate in weekly cash planning and submit financial reports promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a business environment, preferably manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• CPA finalist or ACCA qualification is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and detail‑orientation skills.

Required skills

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (desirable).
