Accounts Intern – 3-Month Contract with Extension Potential

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accounts Intern to join our finance team for a three‑month period, with the possibility of extension based on performance. The role offers practical exposure to accounting processes within a busy service‑sector environment in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining accounting records and financial documents.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Participate in bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
• Process invoices, perform data entry and maintain filing systems.
• Help with monthly financial reporting and audit preparation.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Assist with tax and statutory compliance documentation as required.
• Perform other finance and administrative duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• CPA finalist or completed CPA qualification is highly preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
