Accounts Payable & Reconciliation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Payable & Reconciliation Specialist to join our finance team in Meru. The role will manage supplier payments, reconcile returns and refunds, and support basic bookkeeping for our retail and fashion operations.

Key responsibilities

• Review supplier and partner invoices for accuracy, matching them to orders, prices, shipping charges and other approved costs.
• Maintain a schedule of upcoming and overdue payments, prepare approved bills for payment, and record payment dates, amounts, methods and references.
• Identify duplicate, incorrect or unsupported charges and follow up with suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer returns, refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, remakes and replacements.
• Perform routine bookkeeping: record income and expenses, reconcile bank, credit‑card, Shopify and PayPal accounts, keep supporting documents organized, and assist with monthly profit‑and‑loss and expense reporting.

Required profile

• At least two years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping or finance operations.
• Proven experience reconciling invoices, payments, refunds and account balances.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Good written communication and supplier follow‑up skills.
• High level of integrity when handling confidential financial information.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and keep accurate records.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Xero or similar accounting software.
• Familiarity with e‑commerce payment platforms such as Shopify Payments and PayPal.
