Administrative and Logistics Technical Assistant – Kenya (Dadaab)

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council is seeking an Administrative and Logistics Technical Assistant to support its operations in Dadaab, Kenya. The role combines office administration, procurement, and logistics functions to ensure smooth daily operations and compliance with NRC policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the office complies with all legal and administrative requirements, including taxes, registrations and licences.
• Maintain office cleanliness, manage tenancy agreements and coordinate travel arrangements for staff and visitors.
• Oversee office inventory, equipment, furniture and utilities payments.
• Provide reception services and maintain adequate stock of refreshments and cleaning supplies.
• Support procurement processes: prepare RFQs, obtain quotations, conduct bid analysis and upload purchase orders in the Agresso system.
• Draft supplier contracts, receive invoices and liaise with finance for payments.
• Maintain contract management records and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Prepare and submit status reports, maintain filing systems and keep accurate stock and asset registers.

Required profile

• Experience in office administration and logistics support within an international or humanitarian setting.
• Familiarity with procurement procedures, donor compliance and contract management.
• Ability to organise travel, manage office inventory and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
