Agribusiness Technical Associate – SPARK Internship

About the role

The SPARK Internship offers a hands‑on opportunity for recent graduates to support agribusiness development across Kenya. You will work closely with farmer groups, cooperatives and market actors to deliver technical assistance and market insights.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical activities with farmer groups, agribusiness enterprises, cooperatives and other market actors.
• Prepare technical reports, activity updates and programme documentation.
• Participate in field visits to support project implementation and stakeholder engagement.
• Assist in conducting value‑chain assessments, market studies and sector analyses.
• Collect, compile and analyse market intelligence and agribusiness data.
• Identify market opportunities, constraints and potential interventions within agricultural value chains.
• Develop technical briefs, market profiles and agribusiness insights.
• Collaborate with programme, research, communications and data teams on assigned activities.
• Support proposal development, technical research and business development initiatives.
• Perform other agribusiness and technical support assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Engineering, Agricultural Biotechnology, Agriculture/Agronomy/Horticulture, Agribusiness Management/Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Agriculture and Natural Resources Management or a related field.
