Application Support Specialist

About the role

The Application Support Specialist will provide day‑to‑day support for internal users and stakeholders using organizational software and tools. This part‑time hybrid position is based in Nairobi County with some flexibility for remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to support requests, diagnose and resolve application issues.
• Escalate complex problems to technical teams when needed.
• Monitor system performance and document incidents and resolutions.
• Contribute to user guides and training materials.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve application usability and test updates or new features.

Required profile

• Strong application and technical support skills.
• Analytical and troubleshooting abilities to identify root causes.
• Clear, professional communication for interacting with users and documenting issues.
• Experience with ticketing or help‑desk systems and common productivity/collaboration tools.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage time effectively in a part‑time schedule.
• Basic understanding of software configuration, user administration, or databases is an advantage.
• Prior experience in an application or IT support role and post‑secondary education in IT, computer science, or a related field are beneficial.
