Applications Support Engineer

About the role

Network International is seeking an Applications Support Engineer to monitor and maintain the health of its financial technology applications. Working under senior engineers, you will gain hands‑on experience in production support, incident resolution, and application deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor application performance and system health.
• Respond to and resolve basic technical incidents.
• Assist with application deployments and updates.
• Document incident resolutions and ensure timely escalations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address application issues.
• Participate in shift and on‑call rotations for after‑hours support.
• Proactively propose solutions to improve availability and stability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Basic understanding of application support and IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and learn quickly.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Java programming.
• SQL and PL/SQL.
• Linux command‑line knowledge.
• Way4 modules (accounting scheme, service pack, tariffs).
• Understanding of card issuing, acquiring and ISO 8583 dialects.
• Basic knowledge of payment schemes and transaction flow.
