Area Sales Manager – Kericho

About the role

HomeBiogas is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead its field sales team in the Kericho region of Kenya. You will be responsible for driving B2C sales of renewable‑energy and waste‑management solutions, while building strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives and local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, coach and mentor a high‑performing field sales team of at least ten representatives.
• Set clear performance targets, monitor progress and implement corrective actions to achieve regional revenue and profitability goals.
• Develop and execute monthly, quarterly and annual sales plans, supporting daily and weekly sales activities.
• Identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships with farmer groups, agro‑dealers, financial institutions and community leaders.
• Coordinate regional marketing campaigns, product demonstrations and farmer engagement events.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through effective lead generation, follow‑up and conversion.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Agribusiness or a related field.
• At least five years of B2C sales experience in agriculture, renewable energy, FMCG or a similar sector.
• Minimum three years of experience leading a field sales team, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Experience working in rural markets and managing a team of 3‑6 direct reports.
• Strong command of English and Kiswahili.
