Assistant Accountant

About the role

The Assistant Accountant will support BrighterMonday Consulting's finance function by handling accounts receivable, invoicing, and cash‑flow forecasting. This entry‑level position offers exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, and internal control processes within a dynamic consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely collections.
• Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers.
• Post and reconcile customer invoices, keeping accounts receivable records up‑to‑date.
• Gather cost data for correct billing of warehouse and other services.
• Support cost‑reduction and risk‑mitigation initiatives.
• Assist in monitoring and managing the organization’s budget.
• Ensure financial transactions comply with policies, statutory requirements, and regulations.
• Help implement and maintain effective internal controls.
• Identify financial and operational risks and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
• Build effective relationships with internal departments and customers.
• Prepare and submit accurate financial and management reports as required.
• Contribute to teamwork, onboarding, and staff development activities.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to inform investment and business decisions.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years relevant accounting or finance experience.
• CPA Part II (or equivalent professional accounting qualification) required.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
