Assistant Cook

About the role

The Assistant Cook supports the kitchen team in a fast‑paced, large‑scale catering environment. You will help prepare ingredients, cook dishes, set up buffet stations and keep the kitchen clean while following standardized recipes and production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and cooking according to set recipes.
• Prepare and portion ingredients for daily service.
• Set up and replenish buffet displays.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment and storage areas.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in catering, hotel or restaurant kitchens.
• Good understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently under high‑volume, time‑critical conditions.
• Strong attention to hygiene and sanitation practices.
